Terms of Use
Installing or using Decibel Sound Meter & Acoustic Radar means you accept these terms. If you do not, uninstall the app — that is the whole remedy, and it costs you nothing.
1. What the app is
A sound level meter, an FFT spectrum analyser and a noise dosimeter, all computed on the device from its own microphone. It shows what the microphone hears, in dB, in octave bands, and accumulated over time.
2. What a phone measurement is not
This is an indicative instrument, not a certified one. That distinction is the single most important thing on this page, because these measurements get shown to landlords, councils, employers and insurers.
- A phone microphone is not a Type 1 or Type 2 sound level meter as defined by IEC 61672. It has no calibrated free-field response, and its frequency response varies by model, by unit, and with whatever is covering it.
- Above roughly 95 dB most handsets clip, or apply automatic gain control the app cannot see or disable. Readings in that range are unreliable and generally read low.
- The calibration offset is a single fixed number across all frequencies. It improves agreement with a reference meter at one level; it does not make the microphone linear.
- The dosimeter applies the NIOSH 8-hour criterion to what it heard. It does not know whether the phone was in your pocket, whether you were wearing hearing protection, or whether it was pointing at the source.
Use it to find out whether something is worth measuring properly. Do not use it as the sole basis for a legal claim, a safety determination, or a decision about anyone's hearing.
3. The report
- A report states what this app measured, on the device named in it, at the time stamped on it, with the calibration offset shown. It is a record of a measurement, not a certification of a condition.
- Every report carries the limitation above. Do not remove it, and do not present a report as produced by a professional sound level meter.
- If you share a report with anyone, you do so on your own responsibility and are responsible for how it is represented. We are not party to your dispute and make no representation to anyone you show it to.
4. Safe and lawful use
You agree not to use the app:
- to record, monitor or listen to anyone — the app cannot do this, and attempting to present it as if it had would misrepresent what it does;
- where recording or monitoring sound is restricted, even though this app keeps no audio, if local rules treat the act of pointing a microphone as such;
- while driving, or in any situation where watching a screen is unsafe;
- as a substitute for a professional acoustic assessment where one is legally required.
5. Ads and the detailed log
- The app is funded by advertising. By using it you accept that ads will be shown, subject to the consent choices described in the Privacy Policy.
- No full-screen ad is ever shown while the meter is running. This is a commitment about correctness, not courtesy: the dosimeter integrates exposure over time, so an advert would be time the microphone was not listening. We treat a breach of it as a defect.
- The free report contains every figure that bears on hearing safety — average, peak, duration, dose and the over-limit warning. None of them is behind an ad, and none ever will be.
- The rewarded ad unlocks the detailed log: the per-minute breakdown and the octave bands. That unlock lasts for the current session only and is not stored. The app states this before the ad plays. It is not a purchase, nothing is charged, and no refund can arise from it.
- The app contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. If anything inside the app ever asks you to pay, it is not from us.
6. Licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you control. You may not redistribute or resell it. You may not reverse-engineer it except where the law gives you that right regardless of this clause.
7. No warranty
The app is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will run on every device, that its readings are accurate, or that they correspond to those of any calibrated instrument. Microphone hardware and audio processing differ enormously between handsets, and some apply gain control that cannot be disabled. Nothing here limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer, which vary by country and which these terms cannot remove.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, and in particular not for any loss arising from a dispute, claim, safety decision or health outcome based on its readings or its reports. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app — which is nothing. This clause does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes
These terms may change with new versions. Material changes will be noted in the Google Play release notes and the date above updated. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the developer's country of residence, without displacing any mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where you live.

تثبيت تطبيق Decibel Sound Meter & Acoustic Radar أو استخدامه يعني قبولك لهذه الشروط. وإن لم تقبلها فأزل التطبيق — وهذا هو كامل الحل، ولا يكلّفك شيئًا.
١. ما هو التطبيق
مقياس مستوى صوت، ومحلّل طيف FFT، ومقياس جرعة ضوضاء، وكلها تُحسب على الجهاز من ميكروفونه. ويعرض ما يسمعه الميكروفون، بالديسيبل، وفي نطاقات أوكتاف، ومتراكمًا عبر الزمن.
٢. ما ليس عليه قياس الهاتف
هذا جهاز استرشادي، لا جهاز معتمَد. وهذا التمييز هو أهم ما في هذه الصفحة، لأن هذه القياسات تُعرض على ملّاك عقارات وبلديات وأرباب عمل وشركات تأمين.
- ميكروفون الهاتف ليس مقياس صوت من الفئة ١ أو ٢ كما يعرّفها معيار IEC 61672. فلا يملك استجابة مجال حرّ معايَرة، وتختلف استجابته الترددية بحسب الطراز والوحدة وما يغطّيه.
- وفوق ٩٥ ديسيبل تقريبًا تقصّ معظم الأجهزة الإشارة أو تطبّق تحكّمًا تلقائيًا في الكسب لا يراه التطبيق ولا يستطيع تعطيله. والقراءات في هذا المدى غير موثوقة وتميل إلى الانخفاض.
- ومعامل المعايرة رقم ثابت واحد عبر كل الترددات. يحسّن التوافق مع مقياس مرجعي عند مستوى واحد؛ ولا يجعل الميكروفون خطّيًا.
- ومقياس الجرعة يطبّق معيار NIOSH لثماني ساعات على ما سمعه. ولا يعرف هل كان الهاتف في جيبك، ولا هل كنت ترتدي واقي سمع، ولا هل كان موجّهًا نحو المصدر.
استخدمه لتعرف هل الأمر يستحق قياسًا احترافيًا. ولا تستخدمه كأساس وحيد لمطالبة قانونية أو قرار سلامة أو قرار يخصّ سمع أحد.
٣. التقرير
- التقرير يذكر ما قاسه هذا التطبيق، على الجهاز المذكور فيه، في الوقت المؤرَّخ عليه، مع إظهار معامل المعايرة. وهو سجلّ قياس، لا شهادة على حالة.
- وكل تقرير يحمل التحفّظ أعلاه. لا تحذفه، ولا تقدّم تقريرًا على أنه صادر عن مقياس صوت احترافي.
- وإن شاركت تقريرًا مع أحد فأنت تفعل ذلك على مسؤوليتك، وأنت المسؤول عن كيفية تقديمه. ولسنا طرفًا في نزاعك ولا نقدّم أي إقرار لمن تعرضه عليه.
٤. الاستخدام الآمن والمشروع
توافق على ألا تستخدم التطبيق:
- لتسجيل أحد أو مراقبته أو التنصّت عليه — فالتطبيق لا يستطيع ذلك، ومحاولة تقديمه كأنه يستطيع تُحرّف ما يفعله؛
- حيث يكون تسجيل الصوت أو مراقبته مقيَّدًا، ولو كان هذا التطبيق لا يحتفظ بأي صوت، إن كانت القواعد المحلية تعدّ توجيه ميكروفون كذلك؛
- أثناء القيادة، أو في أي موقف تكون فيه مراقبة شاشة غير آمنة؛
- بديلًا عن تقييم صوتي احترافي حيث يكون مطلوبًا قانونًا.
٥. الإعلانات والسجل المفصّل
- التطبيق تموّله الإعلانات. وباستخدامك له تقبل أن تُعرض إعلانات، وفق خيارات الموافقة الموصوفة في سياسة الخصوصية.
- ولا يُعرض أي إعلان كامل الشاشة أبدًا والمقياس يعمل. وهذا التزام يتعلق بصحة النتيجة لا باللياقة: فمقياس الجرعة يكامل التعرّض عبر الزمن، والإعلان وقت لم يكن الميكروفون يسمع فيه. ونعدّ الإخلال به عيبًا.
- والتقرير المجاني يحوي كل رقم يتعلق بسلامة السمع — المتوسط والذروة والمدة والجرعة وتحذير تجاوز الحدّ. ولا شيء منها خلف إعلان، ولن يكون.
- والإعلان المُجزي يفتح السجل المفصّل: التفصيل الدقيقي ونطاقات الأوكتاف. وذلك الفتح يدوم للجلسة الحالية فقط ولا يُحفظ. والتطبيق يقول ذلك قبل عرض الإعلان. وهو ليس شراءً، ولا يُخصم شيء، ولا ينشأ عنه أي استرداد.
- ولا يحتوي التطبيق أي مشتريات داخلية ولا اشتراكات. وإن طلب منك أي شيء داخله أن تدفع، فهو ليس منّا.
٦. الترخيص
تحصل على ترخيص شخصي غير حصري وغير قابل للنقل لاستخدام التطبيق على أجهزة تملك التحكم بها. ولا يجوز لك إعادة توزيعه أو بيعه. ولا يجوز لك هندسته العكسية إلا حيث يمنحك القانون هذا الحق بصرف النظر عن هذا البند.
٧. لا ضمان
يُقدَّم التطبيق "كما هو". ولا نضمن أنه سيعمل على كل جهاز، ولا أن قراءاته دقيقة، ولا أنها تطابق قراءات أي جهاز معايَر. فعتاد الميكروفون ومعالجة الصوت يختلفان اختلافًا هائلًا بين الأجهزة، وبعضها يطبّق تحكّمًا في الكسب لا يمكن تعطيله. ولا شيء هنا يحدّ من أي حقوق نظامية لك كمستهلك.
٨. حدود المسؤولية
إلى أقصى ما يسمح به القانون، لسنا مسؤولين عن أي خسارة غير مباشرة أو تابعة تنشأ عن استخدام التطبيق، وبخاصة عن أي خسارة تنشأ عن نزاع أو مطالبة أو قرار سلامة أو نتيجة صحية بُنيت على قراءاته أو تقاريره. وحيث لا يمكن استبعاد المسؤولية، فهي محدودة بالمبلغ الذي دفعته مقابل التطبيق — وهو صفر. ولا يستبعد هذا البند المسؤولية عن الوفاة أو الإصابة الشخصية الناتجة عن إهمال، ولا عن الغش، ولا عن أي شيء آخر لا يمكن استبعاده قانونًا.
٩. التغييرات
قد تتغيّر هذه الشروط مع إصدارات جديدة. وستُذكر التغييرات الجوهرية في ملاحظات الإصدار على Google Play ويُحدَّث التاريخ أعلاه. ومواصلة استخدام التطبيق بعد التغيير تعني قبولك له.
١٠. القانون الحاكم
تخضع هذه الشروط لقانون بلد إقامة المطوّر، دون إزاحة أي قانون إلزامي لحماية المستهلك في البلد الذي تقيم فيه.
