Privacy Policy
This app holds the microphone permission. That is the thing worth being precise about, so this page starts there rather than burying it in section four.
The microphone, exactly
- The app listens. It does not record. Audio arrives as a stream of frames, each one is turned into a level and a frequency spectrum, and the frame is discarded. The next frame overwrites it.
- Nothing is written to storage. No audio file is created, at any point, for any reason — not even a temporary one.
- Nothing is transmitted. No audio leaves the device. The advertising SDK, which is the only component that reaches the network, has no access to the microphone or to anything the app measured.
- The microphone runs only while the meter does. Pause the meter and the stream stops. Close the app and it stops.
1. Who we are
The app is published by the developer named on its Google Play listing. For any privacy question or request, write to support@decibelmeterapp.com. We answer within 30 days, and sooner in practice.
2. What the app produces, and where it goes

Measurements are held in memory for the session. They are not written to disk and they are gone when the app closes.
3. The report you share
The app can produce a text report of a measurement and hand it to Android's share sheet. You choose whether to share it and with whom. It never goes anywhere by itself, it is not uploaded, and we never see it. It contains the figures you measured and the device you measured on — never audio, because there is none to include.
4. What third parties receive
Google AdMob
Advertising pays for the app. When an ad is requested, Google receives information about your device in order to select, deliver and measure it, acting as an independent controller of that data. Typically:
- your advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID);
- your IP address, and the approximate region derived from it;
- device and app information: model, operating-system version, screen size, language, and the app's package name and version;
- whether an ad was shown, viewed, clicked or closed.
No audio and no measurement is among them. The ads SDK is given nothing this app heard or computed. It receives what any ad-supported app sends.
Google's handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy; see also how Google uses data in AdMob. We set a maximum ad content rating of G.
Consent, where consent is required
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app shows Google's consent form before the advertising SDK starts and before any ad is requested.
- You consent — ads may be personalised.
- You refuse, or have not been asked — the app requests non-personalised ads only. It never falls back to personalised, and if the consent service cannot be reached at all it stays non-personalised.
Change or withdraw your answer at any time in System → Ads → Ad privacy options.
Google Play In-App Review
If you use the rating prompt, Google handles it. Any review you write is published by you on Google Play under your own account.

6. What we do not do
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
- No identifier of our own, and no profile of you on any server — we operate no server.
- No sale of personal information, and no sharing beyond the AdMob request described above.
- No audio recording, storage, caching or upload, ever, under any circumstances.
- No background listening. The microphone stops when the meter does.
7. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

8. Your rights
- Erasure — uninstalling removes everything the app stored. There is nothing on our side to delete.
- Withdraw microphone access — Android Settings → Apps → Decibel Meter → Permissions. The app will stop measuring and say so rather than showing invented numbers.
- Withdraw advertising consent — System → Ads → Ad privacy options, or reset your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Access, objection, restriction, rectification — write to support@decibelmeterapp.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
The app is not directed to children and is not designed for use by anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Because an advertising identifier is used, the app is not listed for a Families audience.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — a new third party, or a new category of data — we will update the date above and describe the change in the Google Play release notes before it takes effect. Any change to what happens to audio would be announced that way first.

الميكروفون، بالضبط
- التطبيق يسمع. ولا يسجّل. يصل الصوت كتدفّق من الإطارات، ويُحوَّل كل إطار إلى مستوى وطيف ترددات، ثم يُطرح الإطار. والإطار التالي يكتب فوقه.
- لا شيء يُكتب على التخزين. لا يُنشأ ملف صوتي، في أي لحظة، لأي سبب — ولا حتى ملف مؤقت.
- لا شيء يُرسَل. لا يغادر أي صوت الجهاز. وحزمة الإعلانات، وهي المكوّن الوحيد الذي يصل إلى الشبكة، لا تملك وصولًا إلى الميكروفون ولا إلى أي شيء قاسه التطبيق.
- الميكروفون يعمل فقط ما دام المقياس يعمل. أوقف المقياس يتوقف التدفّق. وأغلق التطبيق يتوقف.

والقياسات محفوظة في الذاكرة طوال الجلسة. لا تُكتب على القرص وتزول عند إغلاق التطبيق.
٣. التقرير الذي تشاركه
يستطيع التطبيق إنتاج تقرير نصّي لقياس وتسليمه إلى نافذة المشاركة في أندرويد. وأنت من يقرّر هل تشاركه ومع من. ولا يذهب إلى أي مكان من تلقاء نفسه، ولا يُرفَع، ولا نراه نحن. ويحوي الأرقام التي قِستها والجهاز الذي قِست به — ولا يحوي صوتًا أبدًا، لأنه لا يوجد صوت ليُضمَّن.
٤. ما يستقبله الأطراف الثالثة
Google AdMob
الإعلانات هي ما يموّل التطبيق. وعند طلب إعلان، تستقبل Google معلومات عن جهازك لاختياره وتسليمه وقياسه، وتعمل كمتحكّم مستقل. وتشمل عادةً:
- معرّفك الإعلاني (Android Advertising ID)؛
- عنوان IP الخاص بك، والمنطقة التقريبية المستخرجة منه؛
- معلومات الجهاز والتطبيق: الطراز وإصدار النظام ومقاس الشاشة واللغة واسم الحزمة وإصدارها؛
- ما إذا ظهر الإعلان أو شوهد أو ضُغط عليه أو أُغلق.
ولا صوت ولا قياس من بينها. فحزمة الإعلانات لا تُعطى شيئًا سمعه هذا التطبيق أو حسبه. تستقبل ما يرسله أي تطبيق مدعوم بالإعلانات.
تخضع معالجة Google لسياسة خصوصية Google، وانظر أيضًا كيف تستخدم Google البيانات في AdMob. ونضبط أقصى تصنيف لمحتوى الإعلانات على G.
الموافقة، حيث تكون مطلوبة
في المنطقة الاقتصادية الأوروبية والمملكة المتحدة وسويسرا، يعرض التطبيق نموذج موافقة Google قبل تشغيل حزمة الإعلانات وقبل طلب أي إعلان.
- إن وافقت — يُسمح بتخصيص الإعلانات.
- إن رفضت أو لم تُسأل بعد — يطلب التطبيق إعلانات غير مخصَّصة فقط، ولا يرجع إلى المخصَّصة في أي حال.
غيّر جوابك أو اسحبه في أي وقت من النظام → الإعلانات → خيارات خصوصية الإعلانات.
تقييم Google Play داخل التطبيق
إن استخدمت نافذة التقييم، تتولّاها Google. وأي تقييم تكتبه تنشره أنت بحسابك الخاص.

٦. ما لا نفعله
- لا حزمة تحليلات ولا تقارير أعطال.
- لا معرّف خاص بنا، ولا ملف تعريفي عنك على أي خادم — فنحن لا نشغّل أي خادم.
- لا بيع لأي معلومات شخصية، ولا مشاركة خارج طلب AdMob الموصوف أعلاه.
- لا تسجيل صوت ولا تخزينه ولا تخبئته ولا رفعه، أبدًا، تحت أي ظرف.
- ولا استماع في الخلفية. فالميكروفون يتوقف مع توقّف المقياس.

٨. حقوقك
- المحو — إلغاء التثبيت يزيل كل ما خزّنه التطبيق. ولا يوجد شيء لدينا لنحذفه.
- سحب صلاحية الميكروفون — إعدادات أندرويد → التطبيقات → Decibel Meter → الصلاحيات. وسيتوقف التطبيق عن القياس ويقول ذلك بدل عرض أرقام ملفّقة.
- سحب الموافقة على الإعلانات — النظام → الإعلانات → خيارات خصوصية الإعلانات، أو أعِد ضبط معرّفك الإعلاني من إعدادات أندرويد → الخصوصية → الإعلانات.
- الوصول والاعتراض والتقييد والتصحيح — اكتب إلى support@decibelmeterapp.com. ولك أيضًا تقديم شكوى إلى سلطة حماية البيانات في بلدك.
٩. الأطفال
التطبيق غير موجَّه للأطفال وغير مصمَّم لمن هم دون سن ١٣ (أو السن الأدنى في بلدك). ولأنه يستخدم معرّفًا إعلانيًا، فهو غير مُدرَج لجمهور العائلات.
١٠. تغييرات هذه السياسة
إن تغيّرت هذه السياسة تغيّرًا جوهريًا — طرف ثالث جديد أو فئة بيانات جديدة — فسنحدّث التاريخ أعلاه ونصف التغيير في ملاحظات الإصدار على Google Play قبل أن يصبح ساريًا. وأي تغيير فيما يحدث للصوت سيُعلَن بهذه الطريقة أولًا.
